Another important conversation to learn in English, or any language for that matter, is:

Now, whether you are describing

  • People,
  • Pictures or landscapes, or
  • Activities

the MOST IMPORTANT language to learn here are ADJECTIVES.

  1. Adjectives come BEFORE THE NOUN (person, place, thing being described). For example,

 I saw a large black bird flying by my window.

2.  You can have several adjectives in front of a noun, but there is a limit and AN ORDER. This depends on the KIND or CATEGORY of ADJECTIVE it is. For example, in the table below we have:

Determiner-Observation-Size-Shape-Age-Color – Origin – Material- Quality-NOUN

EXAMPLE:

“A beautiful big fat old red American wooden worn-out barn.”
