How to celebrate the New Year varies from culture to culture, even within North America. One New Year’s Eve Linda and I once ate “tripe” with friends, or as the Northern Mexicans call it, “Menudo”. It’s cow intestines in a stew and you chew and chew and chew and remember the past year’s adventures! This season we celebrated with a “Luau” in Kauai, Hawaii and visited a monastery and burnt up papers with words we wrote, offering to God our future anxieties, worries and fears.
Try writing a few words in English on paper which represent your greatest fears, then burn them up, committing yourself to a year of great success!
